Hello Friends

You're all sorted with your travel and accommodation, so we've updated this site with info about what to expect on the day.

Essential info

The Dates

The wedding is on Friday 2nd October, 2026. Celebrations will continue on Saturday the 3rd with a boat trip and beach day.

the venue

The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at our stunning villa The Selene in Nimborio Bay, sometimes called Emporio Bay, or Nimborios. It's a stunning, secluded spot with gorgeous views.

the vibe

Forget 'normal' weddings. Our day will be a chilled-out affair with a boho, beach-bar vibe. No stuffy suits or boring speeches. Think rustic tavernas, gorgeous Greek food, lashings of retsina and a touch of Mama Mia magic.

1.30pm - Arrive at The Selene for fizz & canapes

2.15pm - The ceremony

3.30pm - Group photos on the jetty

4.00pm - Niriides Hotel for lunch

6.00pm - After-party at The Selene

11.00pm - Bedtime

What to expect at Lunch

Starters: Flat breads, yummy Greek dips, Symi Shrimp

Fizz, wine, beers and soft drinks will be free-flowing throughout lunch. If you want anything different you can buy it at the bar.

Anything goes.

Linen shorts & floaty dresses.

Sandals, sunnies & smiles.

(We recommend flat shoes but know some of you can't resisit your heels!)

SAT 3rd - AKA HANGOVER DAY

JOIN US AT THE GOAT BEACH!

We've chartered a boat to collect everyone at 10.30am at Nimborio and take us to Marathounda Bay, known locally as the goat beach.

Relax, sunbathe, swim in crystalline waters, enjoy delicious food at the taverna and of course - hang out with the goats.

If you like goats but not boats, a small group are arranging a taxi to get there. Ask Jacqui.

The food is superb and prices are reasonable. The retsina is delicious and we recommend ordering a green salad to share with your goat friends.

FUN TIMES

Did we mention the goats?

This will be a lovely chilled out day with the boat leaving around 4pm to take everyone home.

GOOD TO KNOW...

wHAT TO PACK

We invite you to travel light. A floaty frock. Pair of shorts. Strappy sandals. But do bring a warm jumper for the evening because it does get chilly in October. If you love swimming, the sea will be warm enough but bring beach shoes because its pebbly. (You can buy them out there.)

There are many amazing walking routes and hiking opportunities. Plus lots of steps around Symi old town, so bring comfy shoes or trainers.

GETTING AROUND SYMI

Symi is well serviced by water taxis and local buses, meaning it's easy to get around and visit different beaches. Scooters, cars and boats are all available to hire on the island.

GIFTS

We already have two of everything. Honestly, we don't want presents. Just your presence. Lols.

PHOTO SHARING

We're not having an official photographer so please take as many photos as you like throughout the day, including the ceremony. We'll set up a photo sharing site.

OTHER INFO ABOUT YOUR TRIP

HOW TO GET TO SYMI

The nearest major island is Rhodes and you can fly there from most UK airports. Take a ferry or a catamarn from Rhodes to Symi, which takes 1.5hrs or 45mins respectively.

Allow one hour to get from Rhodes airport to the ferry terminal.

You can make the journey in one day if you get a really early flight from the UK. But we'd recommend having an overnight in Rhodes old town, which is a beautiful medieval city.

BOOKING YOUR FERRY

It's really easy and inexpensive to book your ferry from Rhodes to Symi. Visit www.ferryhopper.com for times and prices.

OVERNIGHTING IN RHODES?

There are loads of gorgeous boutique hotels. We recommend the delightful Sperveri hotel(www.sperveri.gr) which is in a great location for restaurants and very close to the old town. It's about a 20 minute walk to the port for the ferry.

WHERE TO STAY IN SYMI

Symi is a small island with a picture-perfect port called Symi town (sometimes called Gialos - its Greek name) which is where the ferry arrives. The wedding will take place at a villa in the stunning Nimborio Bay, which is a short taxi ride or boat trip from Symi town.

We would love you to stay in Nimborio Bay, which will make everything really easy. But there aren't many accommodation options so the next best thing is Symi town.

Please avoid staying in the other bays as transport will be tricky.

See you SOON in SYMI!

It's going to be epic.
